Wine tasting – Buffers Restaurant at Oakfield Park

IMG_0771

Last night we went along to the last Buffers Restaurant night of the season at Oakfield Park, Raphoe. We enjoyed fabulous food prepared by Head Chef Damien Mc Gettigan while Darren Rafferty from James Nicholson Wines talked us through suitable wine pairings.

There is a huge emphasis on local produce in Buffers Restaurant working with suppliers such as Ballyholey Farm, Mulroy Bay Mussels, Doherty Roe Fresh Produce, Albatross Seafoods, Donegal Rapeseed Oil and more. The team at Oakfield Park work hard on growing much of their own produce for the restaurant and even have bee hives that produce honey. This year they introduced their own brand Pale Ale – The Duchess of Difflin.

If you have yet to experience Buffers Restaurant (and we highly recommend you do!), they will be open select days from now until Dec and are also open for Christmas Party bookings.
