Hooked at Donegal Boardwalk

Local Restaurateur Cormac Walsh has just opened another fantastic restaurant, ‘Hooked’ at Donegal Boardwalk, Carrigart. Cormac, a well known figure in hospitality in the county, is also owner of the restaurant at The Olde Glen Bar, Glen – a firm favourite on our Donegal Food Tours route!

Hooked is open 7 days per week from 9.30am and has an amazing menu with breakfast, lunch and dinner being served as well as lots of delicious home made scones, cakes and tray bakes. If you are looking for local, fresh and quality produce this place is well worth checking out with lots of local seafood on offer including the famous Mulroy Bay Mussels as well as fresh haddock from Killybegs.

It is not just the food that will make this restaurant worth the visit, Hooked has got some of the most spectacular scenery in the county – with views overlooking the water toward Ards, Downings and majestic Mt. Errigal. You could literally spend the whole day here, have lunch take a stroll along the boardwalk and further along Tramore beach and back for dinner.

I am already dreaming of balmy Summer days eating local seafood here, enjoying long walks and sipping champagne and cocktails on the balcony in this breathtaking location.

Why not make a night of it and stay at the Donegal Boardwalk resort or some of the many nearby hotel and B&B options. http://www.donegalboardwalkresort.ie/
