We love Donegal. We were born here. We both grew up here and wherever we went in the world we always left our hearts here.

Donegal Food Tours was born out of our desire to showcase the very best Donegal has to offer.

Sue Glackin

Regularly overhead beginning most conversations with “did you see this” or “have you tried that”, Sue is constantly on the look out for the latest new products and best foodie destinations Donegal has to offer.

An appetite for exploring new culinary experiences has brought Sue all over the world, from launching a new restaurant in NSW Australia to spending time in the wine producing regions of Hunter Valley and Margaret River. When she moved back to Donegal in 2014, she completed the Wine & Spirit Education Trust Award Level 2 in Wine & Spirits and started working in the county’s most reputable wine shop.

In 2016 Sue moved into marketing and events at one of the largest entertainment venues in the North West. Here she crafted out a unique club, namely 'The Craft & Cork Club' at House Wine Bar & Taproom which she used as a platform to educate local customers on the variety of wines and spirits available to them in the area.

Then over a glass of the finest Salice Salentino Sue met Cathy…

Any journey, long or short, should always be influenced by where you can find the best food and drinks to enjoy along the way! It’s a mantra that Cathy lives by and one she shares with  Sue.

Always passionate about sharing the best bits her home county has to offer, Cathy has become affectionately known among her friends and former colleagues as ‘Miss Donegal’! From the stunning landscapes to the finest eateries and most memorable nights out under the stars, she truly believes that there’s a part of Donegal for everyone to fall in love with.

Having spent 12 years establishing a successful marketing and communications career in Dublin and London, Cathy had always dreamed about a move back home to Donegal. In Spring 2017 she made the dream a reality and started a rebrand project with one of Donegal’s most popular hospitality brands Arnolds Hotel. Through the hotel and local community festivals, Cathy worked with the wider tourism industry meeting local Donegal producers and providers, showcasing their products through bespoke events and working collaboratively to attract even more visitors to the county.
